Tardis Biscornu by AlaskanAsh Tardis Biscornu by AlaskanAsh
I am a massive Whovian and I love making biscornus, so when I saw this pattern by =Magical525 I knew I had no choice but to make it! I may be still learning but biscornus are so much fun!

I did swap out 2 of the bow ties on the back for little leaf beads, because Clara is fantastic. :D

Also, the button is filled with glitter and looks far more sparkly than you can see in the picture - it looks like stars!

I am so excited for the 50th Anniversary! Why can't it be November already? :eager:

Check out =Magical525's Tardis biscornu!

Aww this is really cute ^^ Nice work!
Quick question though; what are biscornus supposed to be for...? They remind me of sachets or pincushions.

Thank you! :aww:

Biscornus are really just ornamental pincushions, but they can also be used as sachets or simply just as little decorations on their own! Personally, I can't bring myself to put pins in mine, so I'm just decorating my house with them instead! :D

No problem ^^

And ohh ok that's what I thought. Thanks for the info though :D Do you make them by cross-stitching..?

I used to cross stitch when I was younger, but I don't so much anymore.
It's a fun hobby though, I should start again sometime ^^

Wow, I love your biscornu! It seems me so difficult to do it and at the same time so attractive! Probably I will try...

It's so pretty! :la: You know I never knew what a biscornu was so I googled it and it said ornamental pincushion.. now I've googled for pictured and not one has any pins in it.. I guess they are to pretty to use. :D

I have one I use and love using - the Aida is perfect for embroidery needles due to the holes making it easy to stab the blunt needles in :)

This looks wonderful - and what a grand idea to use some leaves for Clara!  I bet the button looks great in person - glitter is just complicated to get photographed in such a way as it shoes and the rest isn't over exposed.

How can I not? It's very well stitched :D You are welcome - it seemed a shame to keep something like a Dr Who pattern to myself ;)
